Imperial Carriers Inc., is looking for Company Drivers. We are seeking drivers that are dedicated, honest, and self-motivated. We are interested in drivers that understand the inherent value of providing exceptional service. Imperial Carriers, Inc., drivers are responsible for the daily transportation and hauling of cargo to and from preassigned destinations. Our drivers are flexible, detail oriented and have the ability to work independently and/or as part of a team.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate commercial motor vehicles
- Candidates must possess a clean driving record, be able to pass a criminal background investigation, and meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company physical examination requirements
- Must possess a medical certificate card from a federally registered medical examiner
- Must maintain current knowledge of transportation laws, DOT regulations, and company policy
- Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed to the highest standard
- Ability to prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick up of goods
- Must be able to perform “Customer Ready” inspections of box truck containers prior to dispatch
- Ability to perform timely deliveries; provide customer assistance and support
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to effectively communication with all levels of staff and management
- Organizational and multitasking skills are a most for any position in operations
- Keeping the organization running smoothly from day to day requires excellent organizational skills and ability to solve problems quickly and move on
- Managing multiple shipments requires multitasking, problem solving and quick decision making for effective outcomes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment is also a must
- This also includes the collecting and analyzing of information created from shipments, which also requires the ability to organize information into usable reports to aid in the decision-making process
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- A Class A Driver License is required
Physical Requirements:
- Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment
